Last Wednesday I decided to treat myself to a new gadget. So one quick trip to the Vodafone shop and I walked away with the new Blackberry Curve.
I have to say it's savage, I love it. The phone I just replaced was the old Blackberry brick, the 7310v. The Curve is a lot lighter, and even though it has a full QWERTY keyboard its much smaller in the pocket. It also has a microSD card, so I can increase memory, plus a 2.0 megapixel digital camera. I sadly missed the camera option on my last phone. I remember when phones started putting camera's in them. I thought what a pointless thing to have on a phone, but I'm glad I have it back. Plus this camera is actually good and the flash is great as wellThe other cool extra feature the Curve has is the built in GPS. I gave it a go on Washington Street and it picked me up no problem, and as I walked along it was spot on, as I crossed the road and headed down Northmain St I could follow my progress on the phone. The GPS works with the onboard Blackberry Maps which is handy.

The other great app I downloaded the other day was Viigo. It's a RSS reader. So I signed up to all the RSS feeds I like. Now when ever I'm waiting for a meeting or just killing time having coffee I can check up on all thats going on. It's proving really handy as I used to waste so much time when I turned on the laptop, and instead of working away I would be checking all the feed and before I knew it 1 hour would have passed. RSS is almost as bad as digg another site which eats time.
The Curve comes with all the other stuff, that if you have had a Blackerry that you would be used to, like IM messagers Email all that sort of stuff.
The best thing is that you get a CD in the box that has software to upgrade Blackberrys. So if you have a Blackberry and you get a new one it transfers over everthing. It was simple and fantastic, took about 10mins and I was back up and running. If your looking at a new phone and something to help run your life or maybe just a cool gadget go for the Blackberry Curve you won't be disappointed.
